World's Biggest Problems

World Hunger is a huge issue.  Hundreds of millions of people are starving every day with no way of obtaining a sustainable source of food.  The only feasible way to help this situation is to keep donating food to different food drives.

The world is becoming more polluted every day.  Places like China and Japan have such bad pollution that Canadians are actually packing air into airtight cans and selling it to them!  As we continue to use fossil fuels, this situation is going to keep getting worse.  One thing we can do to help this problem is to start riding bikes more and start using alternative fuel sources.

Radical Terrorism is probably the worst issue that the world is dealing with today.  Terrorist acts are becoming much too prevalent today and are happening in many countries around the world such as Paris and Israel.  The only thing that we can do to stop this is provide military intervention to the countries that are supplying the radicals.

Fossil Fuels are beginning to become scarce on Earth.  Although gas prices have gone down significantly in the United States, many other countries do not have access to enough fossil fuels to sustain their living.  Fossil fuels cannot be created fast enough to supply their increasing demands in the world today.  We can start using alternate fuels to stop wasting the fossil fuels that we currently have.

Poverty in many nations around the world is also a really huge problem.  Many people in third world countries are very far behind in technology and cannot receive medicine for their health problems because they simply cannot afford it.  The only things that I can think of to help solve this problem is through the education of adolescence and through funding charity organizations.

The illegal drug trade has become a very dangerous problem.  The cartel is known to be extremely violent and is known to break many laws of the countries that they operate in.  In Mexico, the cartel pretty much runs the government!  A possible solution to this problem is to make all drugs legal which would pretty much undermine all of the power that organizations such as the cartels have.

Animal Extinction is becoming more prevalent as time goes on.  Through pollution and tearing down their habitats for manmade structures, many species do not have places to live.  Also poaching or endangered species causes these species to become extinct even faster.  A solution to this problem could be to move the endangered populations into zoos until there are enough of that species to sustain the population.

Deforestation has been a recurring issue.  People have been destroying many of the habitats of different animals.  By doing so, we are not only taking away the place that these animals live, but we are also killing a major source of our oxygen!  One thing we can do to solve this problem is to create more national parks that are protected by law.

Water resources are becoming low.  Many countries of the world, especially third world countries, do not have a steady source of clean water.  Also, droughts create a situation in which plants, animals, and people are all put at risk to becoming water deficient and this could potentially be fatal.  One thing that we can do for this is to cut our daily water use by simply not turning on the sprinklers when it’s raining, not taking as many showers, and not washing our clothes in the washing machine as often.

Natural disasters have been the causes of death of many people throughout the world.  Tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes all destroy people’s houses and can potentially be fatal.  These are very random occurrences and cannot be controlled.  The only thing that we can do to help this problem is create houses that are better set up to protect the individuals that are living in an area where natural disasters are likely to occur.
